D-Day Minus a Week

Our to-do lists are made.  We're checking things off one by one in our count down, somehow always adding things we forgot. We have to keep in mind that we're not going to a third world country!

We also check the weather frequently to help us project what it will be over the next 2 months, and then fine-tune our wardrobe choices accordingly...we want to be as versatile as possible in what we bring to cover all situations, but not over-pack...a challenging balance.

To give us a frame of reference we check a few places important to us. So for today the readings are:

Burlington, Vt. (where Deana and family live):     10 degrees
Windham, NY (where Marty often goes skiing):  16 degrees
Scarsdale, NY:                                                   23 degrees
NYC:                                                                  25 degrees
Paris, France:                                                     36 degrees
Nice, France:                                                      52 degrees
Roma, Italia:                                                       52 degrees

It's looking like great walking and browsing weather, except for the pluie (rain) that often comes every day in Paris in the Spring. But we have our parapluies (umbrellas), so rain never stops us!

Here are some sights we expect to see in our travels:

- signs of Spring:

exquisite food displays:

talking to people and sharing experiences:

- food:

- fun:

Marty getting in the mood:

- and what Marty will look like when we return home!
